Copper Asbuilt

The Copper Asbuilt command allows the user to update Span Lengths in a Copper Network or add Tick Mark information to Copper sheaths.

Update Span Lengths

  1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Copper Tab select the Asbuilt > Span Lengths command:

  2. Select a span to update.
  3. The Span Length dialog box opens:

  4. Key in a new span length, check whether to add the 'Sag' factor, and then select Update.
Note: The span table automatically updates to reflect the new span length.
  5. Activating the Place Span Length Text check box places span length text feature in the middle of the span selected.

Update Tick Mark Information

Tick Marks are written distances printed on copper sheaths that are used to precisely measure the cut cable length.

  1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Copper Tab select the Asbuilt > Tick Marks command:

  2. Select a span on the copper route. The Sheath Ticks dialog box opens:

  3. Key in the starting foot or meter mark and an ending foot or meter mark within the Sheath Ticks dialog box.
  4. Activate the Calculate Length by Tick Marks check box if you want the application to use tick mark total length instead of calculated length captured when routing the copper network.
  5. Click Update to save the information.
